Josiah Garza has been around music for as long as he can remember. Raised in a household filled with music, he picked up the guitar at eight years old and has been playing ever since. Over the years, the instrument became more than something he played. He became interested in understanding how guitars work, how to maintain them, and how small adjustments can noticeably affect how an instrument feels and sounds. He now has more than 10 years of experience working on and maintaining his own guitars.

For the past three years, Josiah has also shared that experience as a guitar instructor. Teaching has become one of the things he enjoys most, particularly the opportunity to help students become more confident and comfortable with their instruments.

His work with instruments eventually expanded beyond guitars. During the fall of 2025, Josiah completed the full Piano Technicians course through the Piano Tuning Academy and received his certification in December 2025. Since then, he has been working professionally as a piano technician throughout 2026, providing services such as standard tuning, pitch raises, minor repairs, and regulation. His training and hands-on experience have given him the knowledge to evaluate an instrument carefully and make the adjustments necessary to keep it playing and sounding its best.

For Josiah, taking care of an instrument is part of being a musician. Whether he is teaching a student, setting up a guitar, repairing an instrument, or tuning a piano, his goal is simple: to help people get the most out of the instruments they love.
